Rib Cage...

The rib cage has now been implimented in a basic form and in ready to be further sub-divided.  Some more sketches are going to be needed before fine details are added.  Before this however, more of a basic structure should be implimented.

Further Shaping...

The box has now been given a basic shape of a torso.  This shape will form the foundation of the upper body once more detail has been applied.

Shaping...

The box has now been divided in order to allow for more robust manipulation.

Box Modelling...

I have simply started with a box which will eventually become the torso.  I will have to add more vertex and polygons to the mesh in order to begin forming a shape.

First Things First

What am I doing?

For this project it is decided to produce a model to demonstrate anatomy and muscle definition.  This will be achieved by creating an upper body model of a muscular bodybuilder using 3DS Max.  This model must be undertaken with the implication of both topology and anatomy in order to create a realistic and well structured model.  The aims to help ensure this are:

  •  A detailed 3D model
  •  Believable and well structured use of anatomy and topology
  • Show clear knowledge of the muscular structure of the upper body

What Must be Delivered?

Baring the above outcomes in mind the following deliverables have been decided upon in an attempt to portray the new knowledge acquired during the module process.

  •   Labelled CD featuring name and student number
  • .MAX and .JPEG formats
  • Portfolio of rendered model images
  • Sketchbook including research, sketches and images
  • A blog to indicate the workflow process
In order to produce this to a high standard, I must first research the general upper body structure...
